Pangolins
Often called the "scaly anteater," the pangolin is one of the world’s most trafficked mammals — but few people have ever seen one. Shy, nocturnal, and incredibly unique, pangolins in Borneo are under serious threat from poaching and habitat destruction. Our project shines a light on this mysterious creature through research, rescue efforts, and awareness campaigns.

The Sunda pangolin is covered in tough, protective keratin scales — the only mammal in the world with this unique armor. Despite its defense, it’s highly vulnerable to poaching for illegal wildlife trade. Understanding its behavior and habitat is key to saving it from extinction.
